UCNY – advocates for the voiceless, chained outdoor dogs on Long Island
The prevalence of chained, outdoors dogs throughout Long Island, New York is shocking. Without a doubt, it has become an epidemic, and it happens more than people would like to believe. While some people believe that ignorance is bliss, unfortunately that is neither a luxury we have nor want. We have made it our mission at Unchained New York to be the voice of the voiceless, the hope for the hopeless. We actively work in low income communities to improve the quality of life for these outdoor dogs while also facilitating and fostering the human-animal bond between dog and owner. We believe dogs are integral family members and should be treated as such. Our battle is tireless, but we do not stop.
